Raised by a single mother in Racine, Wisconsin, Caron Butler overcame challenging obstacles and found the path that lead him to become a successful basketball player. In 2000 he made his way to earning a scholarship to play for Coach Jim Calhoun at the University of Connecticut where he lead the Huskies to a Big East Championship in 2002 and that same year to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament. Immediately after, he declared for the 2002 NBA Draft and now a 12 year NBA-league veteran, with the skills, IQ, and ring to prove it. He has contributed his experience and attributes to successful programs such as the Heat, Lakers, Wizards, Mavericks, Clippers, Bucks, Thunder and the Pistons. Along with being an NBA All-Star, off the court he is a husband to his college sweetheart, father to 3 kids, and also committed to being an active member of the community. Caron is currently playing for the Sacramento Kings.
